Description

Nettle Ground Bug Heterogaster urticae may be very numerous on stinging nettles in late summer.As thecommon name implies, they feed on the stinging nettle Urtica dioica and in late spring will congregate in the new foliage to mate.

With many similar bugs, a major distinguishing feature is its banded legs.
