Description

A small (3.5-4.5mm), chrome-yellow beetle ladybird with 22 black spots on its back. Its colour pattern varies very little. Widely distributed and generally common on low vegetation in southern Britain, both adult and larvae are herbivorous and Fungus-feeder, eating mildews on leaves, especially of umbellifers such as carrot and parsnip. It can be found from April until August.
